Healthy Brain = Healthy Life

It may seem like a simple question. But what is the most important organ in your body? And no, it’s not your heart.. It’s your brain. Our brains are remarkable. It’s the processing centre for our whole body. It’s like having a super computer, processing complex information at an astonishing rate. In fact, there is nothing in nature that can compare to how complex and amazing our brains are.

Our brains are so complex it computes up to 66 trillion actions a second and sends up to 20million messages a second through each nerve in our body. It’s takes constant information in from our surroundings and then figures out how to react to help us best thrive. This is the fundamental reason why humans are able to adapt, live and thrive in almost every place on earth. Our brains are incredible!

So, here’s the thing. If our brain doesn’t function well, we don’t function well. If the hardwired super computer isn’t able to receive all the information to make it work well or send information out then what good is it? In essence, the machine is only as good as the information it’s fed. In a practical sense, the organs, muscles, tissue, ligaments, cells that are attached to brain malfunction and function improperly. This has a detrimental effect on our health in the short and long term.

So, it makes sense to look after our brains and keep it healthy, functional and at its peak for as long as we can. That way we can live a healthy, long life and be guaranteed the best function well into our old age.

Love your brain. Feed it with the right habits, food and exercises so that it can remain at it’s peak so we do as well.
